In Year 3, Miss Skelding’s class have been working hard to develop their ability to read different clocks. They have explored Roman Numerals, Digital and Analogue clocks. To check their clock skills they created their own Maths Board Games, with different times they had to model to their partner before moving up the board!
In Art we have been exploring structures. They created detailed sketched of Big Ben following steps and using sketching skills such as pencil pressure.
In History, we have been recently exploring the Ancient Egyptians in their topic, Fascinating Pharaohs! They found where Egypt is and explored historical cities. They learnt about the importance of the Nile and how it supported life of humans, plants and animals and also researched key historical events, such as the discovery of Tutankhamun’s tomb. The children then created their own diary entries based on the discovery by Howard Carter.
Our Dance Off Video
In PE, Miss skelding’s class learnt the Hakka, a traditional warrior dance from New Zealand. They also leant a dance to Justin Bieber! This was then performed during our Jubilee Dance Off and Miss Skelding’s class won! Well done everyone! Take a look at them practicing!
