Nursery - Paris Class

Welcome to Paris Class

Hello children and parents,

We hope you are all well and keeping safe. We all miss you lots and can’t wait to see you all soon.  How are you? It’s a little bit strange having to stay indoors isn’t it, but remember we are doing it to keep our loved ones safe and healthy. You are all being so resilient by staying indoors like the government has told us to. We are all really proud of you.

On our daily walks we have seen lots of rainbows in people’s windows. Have you made rainbows to go in your windows?

We hope you are having lots of fun with your family and making the most of being able to spend quality time together. This is a time to play lots, be creative, to share with each other, to talk to each other, to read, sing, to cook and to exercise.

We hope to see you all very  soon, remember you can email your work and photos of your adventures if you wish, we really enjoy looking at them and seeing your beautiful smiles.

Miss Dishart, Mrs Revers and Miss Snape

Nursery Home Learning Summer 2020

Hello children and parents,

We hope you are all ok and staying safe. We want you to know we are all missing you and can't wait to see you when it is safe to. We know this is a bit strange for you all; it is for us adults too!

It would be lovely if you could email us some of the exciting things you have been doing at home, you could email us some of your work and maybe we can upload it to the school website.

We miss reading you stories so I have found some books on YouTube that I really enjoy listening to, I hope you do too.

I have chosen two stories they are 'Aliens love Underpants' and 'Under the same Sky'. Once you have heard the stories maybe your could design your own alien and some underpants for them. 'Under the same Sky' is a lovely book and is very relevant to how you might be feeling at the moment.

Here are some number songs too, keep practising your counting and recognising the number and amount.

I have sent you some interesting activities for you to work on this week.  Please work hard to complete them all.

A very big welcome to Jubilee Nursery! Hip, Hip Hooray! We look forward to working with you and your child this year.

We will have opportunities to make lots of new friends, learn how to be a part of a big group and to be independent. We will be learning to sing lots of nursery rhymes and songs to help us to know our numbers and letter sounds.

Throughout the year, we will be learning lots and having so much fun together. We know you will impress us with your outstanding attitudes to learning this year. This is our class page where we will post different pieces of your work/achievements from lots of different areas of learning. When you feel proud of something, please let us know, so that we can post it onto our page. Remember to keep visiting throughout the year to explore some of the hard work that you have completed. On our page, you can also see what we are going to be learning about in our class newsletter. You can access this page at home so if you would like to, you will also be able to share your learning with your grown-ups.

Paris Class Christmas Party:

Paris Class had a wonderful week of celebrations culminating in our Christmas party. The children enjoyed decorating their fairy cakes; they played party games and ate some delicious party food. All children were excited to receive a prize for playing the games and receiving a gift from  the adults.

Personal, Social and Emotional Development:

This term the children have been learning to work and play cooperatively together. This has taken place both inside and in our outside environment, in large and small groups.

Physical Development:

This term the children in Paris Class have been using a variety of resources to develop their fine motor skills by exploring the use of one handed tools and equipment, e.g. scissors, hammer and pencils.

The children in Paris class are learning to work and play together and share resources.

We are pleased to say they are doing a good job of it.

In Paris class we have been exploring and sorting colours.

Challenge and Support Day

We explored our school environment to collect autumn leaves. We talked about the different colour leaves to link into our topic on colours. We used the leaves to decorate our individual wreaths.
