Term 4

In English, we used instruments to make the sound of the train journey in our story "Angus and the Goods Train."

In PE, we have been doing Orienteering and Outdoor Adventure.

In Science, we have been investigating plants.

Term 3

In DT, we made dioramas showing the pollution in our oceans.

In PE, we are doing dance. We created difference movements and sequences linked to our topic, "Saving Planet Earth,"

In Science, we have been studying rock. We described them and investigated which rocks are permeable.

Term 2

In a combined English and Geography lesson, we made 3d maps of the location in our Class Book, "The Firework Maker's Daughter."

In PE, we were learning gymnastics.

In science, we were continuing to learn about light and shadow. We used mirrors to investigate reflection and did a mirror walk, using our reflections to follow a line.

Term 1

Welcome to Year 3. It is great so see you all again and I hope you all had a great summer break. Our new topic is called "Let Us Shine." It is a science based topic where we will look at light and dark including shadows. Our English book is called "The Firework Maker's Daughter" by Philip Pullman. I'm sure we will have a great year together.

In English, we acted as the character Lila and Lauchand from the Firework Maker's Daughter.
