There has been an increase on the borough in the number of Theft From Motor Vehicle and Theft of Motor Vehicle reports have suggested that the victim has failed to lock their car properly allowing suspects to get in.

So if you don’t do it already, when you lock your car using a remote key fob please try at least one of the door handles to confirm it's locked before you walk away.
